100 year old Baidyanath opens its 1st retail store Ayurvedant in Delhi

Jhansi based Baidyanath , the century  old trusted  leader in Ayurvedic know how and largest producer of Ayurveda products with portfolio of 700 formulations in it’s bid to catch up with growing consumer shift towards natural, organic and Ayurvedic  products as well as to cater to growing youth preferences has opened it’s first exclusive retail store Ayurvedant in capital last week.

Baidynath Ayurved  which has just completed it’s 100 years, established in 1917  the Company has played a pioneering role in re-establishing ancient knowledge with modern research and manufacturing techniques has recently forayed into FMCG market with introduction of natural juices, organic spices, chemical free cosmetics and herbal nutraceuticals  has opened the store to showcase and retail it’s products at the exclusive store.

“This exclusive retail store is a platform to showcase and retail Baidyanath patent medicines, Over The Counter (OTC)  products, FMCG products, Organic spices, besides Mantra brand  Herbals and Ayurvedant products., we plan to further expand our retail  footprint by opening 14-20 more retain stores by end of year 2018 in various major towns in the country inclduing NCR We plan about 30 new stores in NCR region within next Two years “ said Mr Anurag Sharma, Executive Director, Baidyanath Ayurved while inuagurating the first retail showroom.

The retail store AYURVEDANT will be  a one stop shop for all pure Ayurveda products. We have introduced these pure and natural herbs and spices with health benefits for the first time in the country” said Mr Sharma.

“ Baidyanath Ayurved already has an extensive distribution in ayurvedic medicine, where it reaches out to nearly 10 lakh outlets, but now has entered into establishing its own fresh distribution channel for its FMCG foray.We are also using e-commerce sites as a distribution channel, having tied up with sites like Amazon. We are selling Mantra through Amazon in the United States and are present is the top three e-commerce sites in India,” he added.

“We are Targeting additional revenues of ₹ 100  crore in the next two years, Baidyanath’s primary challenge will be to build distribution in the FMCG space, since its forte has always been in ayurvedic medicine.” Mr Sharma said.
