ShopClues Hackathon SPARK-3, the idea battle for Gen-Next Entrepreneurs

The battle for innovation at ShopClues’ Spark-3, a 24-hour hackathon challenge, saw internal teams of ShopClues walk away as winners in the categories of Best Innovation and Most Impactful.  A team from KIET College won in the category of Best Prototype.

126 teams from over 70 institutions, had registered for the hackathon. Of this list, 36 teams had been shortlisted from over 10 institutions, along with internal teams from ShopClues, to participate at SPARK – 3 and come up with next gen innovations. Students from IIT Roorkee won Bounty projects which got them not only a cash prize of over Rs. 20,000, but also pre-Placement offers from ShopClues.

Over 70 leading technology and engineering institutes across India participated in SPARK-3.

Commenting on SPARK-3, Babu Vittal, Head – HR, ShopClues.com, said, “After the huge success of Spark 1 and 2, we were sure of the potential of millennials and their creativity. We wanted to give them a continual platform to showcase their talent and provide effective solutions to real-time problems. As expected, they did a great job, and in only 24 hours, developed powerful strategies and products that are user-friendly and efficient. Every participant sparked making Spark – 3 a grand success!
