Paras Bliss Hospital, Panchkula marked Mothers’ Day in a unique style, encouraging women to turn attention to their health issues even as they take care of their families, and also prompting children to pamper their mothers on this special day.

The hospital distributed around 10,000 health vouchers to school students of Panchkula and Chandigarh, to enable them to surprise their mothers with a happy health check voucher. The hospital also celebrated the day at the hospital by offering bouquets and gifts to women who have delivered babies at the facility.

Also part of the agenda for the day was the need to spread awareness among women about the importance of paying attention to their health issues on time. The hospital also distributed health vouchers that would allow women special discounts when they avail consultations, screenings or check-ups at the hospital.

“The burden of multiple responsibilities often makes women oblivious to their own needs, desires and health issues. They are mostly so busy taking care of the family and children that they inevitably put themselves last on their priority. Through our special initiatives on this Mothers Day we want to educate women that they should not ignore their own health issues. Women experience a number of problems including irregular periods, hormonal imbalances, migraine headaches, urinary incontinence etc that need medical intervention. Regular health screenings for diabetes, hypertension, and breast cancer are also very important for women,” said, Dr. Shilva, Consultant Gynecology, Paras Bliss Hospital, Pachkula.

“So busy are women sometimes looking after their families and juggling between work and home that they keep postponing their hospital visits. Mother’s Day is the good occasion to remind them that they are individuals too and need attention and care like everyone else. They should pay attention to their health issues, sometimes take it easy in life, and fin time to pamper themselves regularly. The idea behind distributing movie tickets, flowers, cards and health vouchers is to remind women of their individuality as human beings,” said Dr Rishi Mangat, Center Head, Paras Bliss Hospital, Panchkula.
