Max Hospital, Patparganj showcases interesting cases of cardiac surgeries

A team from Max Super Speciality Hospital, Patparganj, a leading healthcare provider in North India, today showcased some interesting case studies of cardiac surgeries done at the hospital from the region.

A press conference was organised by the team on this occasion to share key insights from these cases with the media.

Some of the patients, who had undergone cardiac surgeries at the hospital earlier, were also present on this occasion to vouch for the high quality of patient care.

The purpose was to highlight increasing trend of cardiac ailments amongst youth and availability of world class technology and clinical expertise available for the treatment of cardiac ailments.

Alongside was a young case study of 31 year old Mohit, a resident of Meerut.

The young patient was rushed into the emergency at Hospital on 31st Jan’18 with chest pain & acute breathlessness. During initial diagnosis Mohit was found to have three primary arteries supplying bold to heart muscles blocked. Dr. Bhuyan and his team performed triple bypass surgery which lasted close to four hours. Mohit had an uneventful post operative period and was discharged on the tenth day after surgery.

Dr. Bhuyan has successfully done critical cardiac surgeries of patients from the region.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bhuyan, said, “India is witnessing a rapid rise in complex problem related to the heart. There has been a significant rise in ‘coronary artery disease’ or blockage of the arteries supplying blood to the heart muscles. More alarmingly, there is a fast increase in numbers amongst both urban and rural population. Moreover, in India, this disease is affecting the youth.  We have witnessed a large number of such cases which ultimately requires a bypass surgery or angioplasty.”

He further said, “We, at Max Hospital-Patparganj, have conducted successful surgeries of many cardiac patients of the Meerut region, some of them are present here to vouch for the treatment”.
