Blue Bells Public School shines at Industrial Design Championship

Students of Blue Bells Public School comprising of Dhruv Punia, Bhuwan Mohan, Karunesh Yadav and Arjun Singh clinched the coveted Second Position in the recently held Industrial Design Category in Design Championship organized by Mindbox. Adding on to the achievements, in the Graphic Design Category, the students, Gaurav Marwah, Namo Jain and Lakshay Tyagi bagged the Second Position.

Industrial Design Championship is a platform for school students who want to showcase their talent as it encourages the students to think out of the box. The competition is divided into the categories: Game Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design and Movie Making. It was held across India in 7 cities viz. Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune and Coimbatore respectively. Students and their Family Members from all over India were eligible to participate in this competition.

The event saw the enthusiastic participation of 90 renowned schools of Delhi & NCR (Khaitan, DPS, DAV, Shiv Nadar, G.D.Goenka, Modern School and Maharaj Agrasen etc.) and the level of the competition was high. Around 630 projects were a part of the competition. The judges were thoroughly mesmerized by the innovative presentation of students with 3D Model and heartily lauded their efforts.

Students of Blue Bells Public School with Industrial Design Championship Trophy and certificateIn the Industrial Design Category, the students from Blue Bells Public School designed a water cistern to be attached to the tap which would control the wastage of water and also the water collected would be used for generation of electricity. They complimented their presentation with the 3D Model. In the Graphic Design, the students designed a Logo for their Gaming Company and brought laurels for the alma mater. The students used all the latest tools for making their Logo attractive and appealing.

Expressing her happiness on the feat, Mrs. Arpita Acharya, Vice Principal, Blue Bells Public School, said, “We are proud of our students who have performed well. We hope that by emphasising the importance of technology and pedagogical design principles, our students will better understand their place in the modern world. The purpose of Competition was to get the best out of the students and take their classroom learning to the world outside. National & International level competitions help students develop competitive & innovative spirit.”

Beaming with success, Dhruv Punia, a Class IX student of the school says, “We went right ahead to build and operate the kind of system that is often talked but rarely implemented. The Jury was impressed, in particular with our exceptional creativity, unrelenting diligence, enthusiasm and true passion. I would like to thank our school for providing us a great opportunity to showcase our talent.”
