Fortis Hospitals launches “Centre for Hepatobiliary Sciences and Liver Transplant”

The specialised medical facility has highly qualified Hepatologists, Transplant surgeons and a well trained multi-disciplinary team

A good number of these patients require liver transplants to treat several liver diseases which are increasing at a fast pace. The need for offering affordable and high quality liver transplants with good clinical outcomes is more pronounced than it ever has been.

To address this need Fortis hospital, Bannerghatta Road launched its Centre for Hepatobiliary Sciences and Liver Transplant. The inauguration was done by the guest of honor and world renowned Liver Transplant surgeon Dr. Tan Kai Chah. Dr Tan is the Executive Chairman, Asian American Transplant Center, Singapore.  Dr Tan has led over 400 liver transplant procedures worldwide so far and is a leading voice in the area of cutting edge clinical work in this domain.
