DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance Empowers War Widows by offering employment opportunities in Jalandhar

DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance (DPLI) has been securing and enriching the lives of the personnel  of the most prestigious Indian Organisation-The Indian Armed Forces. DPLI has been consistently engaging with serving soldiers, veterans, war widows and their families by extending support to various Armed Forces fraternity establishments like Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center, AWWA, ASHA Schools , Palliative Care Center for comforting  terminally ill soldiers, Martyr schools for teaching the children of war heroes and Directorate General of Resettlement for training and hiring veterans and their kith and kin.

As an extension of its community engagement with The Indian Armed Forces, DPLI appointed six war widows (also known as Veer Naris – widows of martyrs) to the company’s Jalandhar branch office. The war widows have been hired through DPLI’s Veer Nari Resettlement Programme in association with Army Welfare Placement Organization, Jalandhar node  for managerial roles and will work at Jalandhar Veer Nari Shakha (branch office). The appointment letters were given, during an event organised at 91 Sub Area at Jalandhar, by Ms. Anju Bajaj,Chairperson-AWWA, 91 Sub-Area in the presence of Brigadier RPS Sandhu SM, Deputy GOC .

The Veer Nari Shakha is an all women team dedicated to fulfilling life insurance needs of servicemen and their families. DPLI, in the past, has trained and appointed Veer Naris across 7 locations such as Bathinda, Faridkot, Jalandhar, Sriganganagar, Jaipur and Siliguri. Recently, the company has set-up two exclusive Veer Nari branch offices one in Siliguri and the other in Jalandhar.

Commenting on the appointments, Mr. Anoop Pabby, Managing Director and CEO, DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance said, “Veer Nari Resettlement Programme is a close-to-heart initiative of DPLI. Our primary objective is to enable resettlement of Veer Naris by empowering them to earn a respectable living for their families by enhancing their skills while providing a safe working and friendly atmosphere. We’ve enlisted the services of these 6 Veer Naris in managerial roles who will be undergoing training for capacity development from DPLI Jalandhar office.”
