Lockdown Survey reveals a rating of 6.91 / 10 for the measures taken by the local administration to tackle Covid-19

Local Administration reaches out to people via an online, Twitter survey

Over the past 24 hours, more than 674 people had participated in the Lockdown survey, giving the Local Administration a positive rating of 6.91/10.

A public survey was conducted to gather information on the preferences and opinion of the citizens of Tamil Nadu during lockdown. The respondents shared their views on questions related to awareness measures, precautions taken and the difficulties they face because of the lockdown. The lockdown twitter survey conducted on behalf of the Minister S.P.Velumani, TamilNadu Minister for Municipal Administration, Rural Development and Implementation, provided a platform for the public to share their suggestions and inputs on different measures that could be taken by the Local Administration.

Survey Questions - Feedback

The survey had over 674 respondents, out of which 88% to 90% of the people claim to take daily precautions against COVID-19 like washing their hands and social distancing. The survey shows 94% of the people supporting the Local Administration and Corona Warriors by spreading awareness to their near and dear. They had also shared their suggestions that included: ‘After the imposition of Lockdown on March 25, 2020, the Government of Tamil Nadu, led by the Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy, has taken a lot of efforts to meet the needs of the public during the tough times of lockdown.’
