Mercure Hyderabad KCP visits Cherish Foundation to create awareness about WATCH

As part of Corporate Social Responsibility program Mercure Hyderabad KCP visited the Cherish Foundation, an NGO working towards the development and rehabilitation of underprivileged kids at Rajendra Nagar, Hyderabad. The Hotel management and staff of Mercure Hyderabad KCP extended expert training and advice for the girls on WATCH – We Act Together for Children & POSH – Prevention of Sexual Harassment and created awareness about the sexual exploitation of children and steps for prevention.

Protecting underage children against sexual abuse in travel and tourism forms part of the Accor Group’s ‘Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility Charter’. It is implemented through the ‘PLANET 21’ program, AccorHotels’ sustainable development strategy.

The staff members also shared vital precautionary measures to protect the kids from the widespread of Corona Virus in the country. The children and their caretakers were provided important health and sanitation awareness that could prevent the spread of the disease. The Team has also distributed sweets to the kids and conducted fun activities to boost their morale and spread a jovial atmosphere.
