McVitie’s Kids Culinaire – Healthy Children Happy Parents

McVities Kids Culinaire - EVENT LOGOKids Culinaire Festival returns with its 3rd edition in the capital to be held on February 18th and 19th at PSOI Gardern, Nehru Park,  from 10:30am to 6:30pm.  McVitie’s endorsed by Kajol is the title sponsor for this year festival.

This Fun Food Festival for children was started by Pilcrow Communications in 2015, with the aim of making food ‘fun’ for children and thus bringing about a transformation in their eating habits. It has been designed keeping little ones and their parents/caregivers in mind with fun workshops, interesting information, exciting activities and cool contests. Founders of Pilcrow Ratika van Noord Bhatnagar and Rohini Mathur share a closer look – “We don’t say “don’t eat candy” but focus on balance, to achieve what Popeye has with spinach. Through this festival, we also hope to raise awareness about some relevant concerns around food today, such as lifestyle diseases, proper hygiene, waste segregation and much more”.

Keeping the increasing number of young visitors in mind, some interesting new activities have been introduced, while retaining the most popular zones from last year.

McVities Kids Culinaire - FINAL FLYERMcVitie’s, a well known brand amongst the health enthusiasts across the country, is now widening its consumer base to become a household brand name with its play in the taste led segments of biscuits. Continuing its association with kid’s culinaire McVitie’s is unveiling the Jungle Book experience at the event with engagement program. Quoting on the event Abhishek Sharma, President India Pladis says “ Our association with Kids culinaire goes back  to 2015 and we have been an integrated partner. This is a perfect platform for us to introduce the product related programs for children “

On popular demand the festival welcomes back Chef Saransh Goila – India’s youngest celebrity chef, Food Artist Smita Srivastava – author of Fun Foods for Fussy Eaters and Master Storyteller Simi Srivastava of Kathashala.

Curated tours add an extra level of engagement at the interactive display of the food group area, by Altitude Store, where children can milk a cow at the dairy section, or dig for underground vegetables at the Vegetable section. Children can also take a journey through the “Edible Routes – Food Cycle” starting with the story of a seed, sowing it, harvesting, processing and finally composting the waste to be used again in sowing.

Children have always been fascinated by both science and cooking. This year we bring them together with a new zone run by the same name “Science and Cooking” where you can see for yourself why there’s a difference in pancakes and crepes.

Entry to the event is ticketed to ensure a safer environment for families with children, but participation in these fun activities is free once inside, on first come first served basis.

This year McVitie’s Kids Culinaire travels to Mumbai for the very first time in the month of April.  Keep watching this space for more…
