Karnataka Region Economic Trade Organization has been constituted and is open for membership
The ‘Karnataka Region Economic Trade Organization’ was constituted in a formal function that was chaired by Shabeena Sultana, Deputy Chairperson – KRETO and Asif Iqbal, Executive Director – KRETO. Shabeena shared the vision of KRETO, its objectives and its plans for the future in the forum. She also announced that KRETO will be officially launched by the Honourable CM of Karnataka Shri Siddaramiah on July 27th in Bangalore.
Adds Shabeena Sultana, Deputy Chairperson – KRETO, “While we are blessed with a bountiful state and a forward looking government, we are also living in the technology era where the world around us is fast transforming. Look at countries like Singapore, Switzerland or UAE for that matter, which are in reality smaller in size than our state but look at the progress that they have achieved despite their limitations. I believe KRETO will be the right fulcrum to help our entrepreneurs and businesses achieve their potential not just in the national stage but in the world stage itself.â€
The programme was attended by Trade Commissioners representing the regions Saudi Arabia, Turkey, East and South, Africa Division, ASEAN Region, WANA Region, Western Europe Division and the Consul of Djibouti and the Consul of Estonia. Trade Commissioners representing Energy, Cultural, Kannada Film Industry, Education, Tourism, Infrastructure, Health, Partnership Development, Information Technology, Interstate Affairs, Media, Agriculture Affairs, FDI Division, Management Standards, Event Exhibitions, Fashion Promotion, Innovation and Tourism were also in attendance.
