Students from various schools across Gurgaon encouraged to plant saplings within their school premises
Supporting the cause of making a greener environment, Columbia Asia Hospital, Gurgaon took the initiative to create environmental awareness amongst the school children.
On the occasion of World Environment Day, Columbia Hospital reached out to students of various schools across Gurgaon, to encourage them plant more trees to ensure a greener future. Conducting a plantation drive, the hospital planted trees within the hospital , also invited students from Meenakshi Public school and Euro kids School , Gurgaon to come forward and plant 50 saplings within their school premises. The students were accompanied by their respective principles and coordinator who further encouraged them in the healthy contribution to the environment.
“We need to save our planet not only for us but for future generations as well as it adds up making and impotant difference. Children are the future. They ought to take the learning that we teach them today. Hence encouraging them to plant more trees would not only make future greener but also teach them the importance of healthy environment. We were really impressed by the children’s knowledge and awareness of the issues we are facing and their questions were both intelligent and challenging†. Hence, any endeavor to create a healthy earth has to include them in its ambit. Celebrating days such as World Earth Day or Environment day informs the masses about the importance of environment and natural resources, which further impacts our healthy living in multiple ways,†said Mr. Mahipal Singh Bhanot, General Manager, Columbia Asia Hospital, Gurgaon.
