SHORGUL Song Launch

AMIDST THE NOISE OF INTOLERANCE WHERE DOES HUMANITY STAND?

A 24FPS Films Production, “Shorgul” is a political drama wherein an innocent friendship between a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl takes a communal twist. With vested interests involved, the matter snowballs and leads to riots in the state. In the midst of this political and religious intolerance, where does humanity stand?

Unearthing the political underbelly, Shorgul will capture a quantum leap for political dramas by assimilating some of the best actors from the grey shade genre of the film industry. The multi-starrer features Jimmy Shergill, Ashutosh Rana, Eijaz Khan, Sanjay Suri, Hiten Tejwani, Anirudh Dave, Narendra Jha, Suha Guzen, and Deepraj Singh Rana.

The film will launch Turkish newcomer Suha Gezen as the lead actress and will also showcase the debut of politician cum lawyer Kapil Sibal as a lyricist and world renowned Sitar/Zitar maestro Niladri Kumar as a music director on the track Tere Bina sung in Arijit Singh’s voice. The film is directed by Jitendra Tiwari & P. Singh and produced by Swatantra Vijay Singh & Vyas Verma. It will release in theatres on 24th of June.

Swatantra Vijay Singh states, “Shorgul breaks stereotypical beliefs of how no religion is better or worse and that extremism is detrimental to the growth of a nation. We are extremely proud of the way the film has shaped up and the fact that it brings a contemporary creative twist to real incidents by asking the fundamental question of humanity. This film is the need of the hour and urges audiences to start acting instead of reacting. It’s a story that should reach the masses and create a conversation amongst the youth as the power of change is vested in their hands.”
