India’s largest members-only business storytelling platform, ET Prime from the house of The Economic Times, India’s oldest and most trusted business news brand, has now become the country’s first premium business news publisher to integrate ‘Subscribe with Google’. This will make it simple for readers to subscribe to ET Prime by paying subscription fees in their own currency and maintaining access everywhere – websites, apps, even search results.
‘Subscribe with Google’ enables readers to use Google’s secure authentication system which enables the user to login and purchase the ET Prime subscription with the same account that they use for their other Google services. This helps facilitate a seamless reading experience while keeping online subscription fee payments secure. After subscribing, readers will now be able to access content on ET Prime whenever they’re signed into their Google Account.
“Much like pioneering several other initiatives in digital media, ET Prime is excited to be the country’s first premium business news publisher to bring the most seamless subscription and log-in experience to our readers around the world. Our integration with ‘Subscription With Google’ would ensure they are able to gain access to their favorite pieces of business news instantly and be able to pay for their subscriptions seamlessly on the go.” Puneet Kukreja, Product Head – Economic Times Digital said.
“We are delighted to partner with the Economic Times and look forward to seeing how simplifying subscription sign-ups across our news surface impacts their business.” Kate Beddoe, Head of News Partnerships – APAC, Google said.
The ‘Subscribe with Google’ partnership gets ET Prime into an exclusive club of the world’s most illustrious premium publishers that have integrated the same, including Les Échos, Fairfax Media, Le Figaro, the Financial Times, Gannett, Gatehouse Media, Grupo Globo, The Mainichi, McClatchy, La Nación, The New York Times, NRC Group, Le Parisien, Reforma, la Republica, The Telegraph, and The Washington Post among others.
