Dr. R M Anjana Managing Director of Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre awarded the K.V. George Kottukulam Memorial TANKER Foundation Award and Kerala Kidney Research Foundation Young Investigator Award-2020 for her outstanding work on Kidney research related to Diabetes
On behalf of TamilNadu Kidney Research Foundation, Dr. R M Anjana, Senior Diabetoloist and Managing Director of Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre was awarded the K.V. George Kottukulam Memorial TANKER Foundation Award and Kerala Kidney Research Foundation Young Investigator Award-2020 during their Annual Charity & Awards Nite Function held in Chennai recently. Dr. R.M. Anjana was awarded for her research paper titled ‘Unsupervised machine-learning model to identify the type 2 diabetes subgroups and their risk of kidney disease’. She was awarded for her outstanding contribution in the field of research in the field of Diabetes linked to Kidney problems in the distinguished presence of Mr. M.M. Murugappan, Chairman of Murugappa group.
Commenting on the award, Dr.V.Mohan, Chief Diabetologist and Chairman of Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centre and Director – Madras Diabetes Research Foundation said “I am very happy that Tanker Foundation conferred the award on Dr. R.M.Anjana in recognition of her pioneering work in the classification of Diabetes and particularly in relation to the complications of Diabetes in general and Diabetic kidney diseases in particular.
