Stonehill International School (SIS) celebrated 10 years of holistic international education in a collaborative, stimulating and caring environment. The day also marked the inauguration of the school’s latest world class sports hall. The event was attended by Mr. Prakash Padukone, former World Number 1 badminton champion;Ms. Ashwini Nachappa, former international track athlete; and Ajeet Bajaj & Deeya Bajaj, the first father-daughter duo to scale Mount Everest.
On the occasion, Prakash Padukone, former World Number 1 badminton champion said, “I am extremely delighted that sports and games in the country is picking up. 10 years back, there were more emphasis given on the performance of the academics, but I am happy and impressed to see schools and colleges encouraging children to take part in sports activities. This is my first visit to Stonehill and I am impressed to see the kind of sports facilities that the school is providing. I request parents to support their children to take part in sports and other activities along with academics.”

Shashank Rammoorthy, alumnus of SIS says, “Studying at Stonehill has been a great, all-round experience. I’ve learnt so much from my teachers and friends at this diverse school. The students received great support from all of our teachers.” Shashank is now pursuing his higher education at Stanford University, USA.
