Commenting on the expansion into the Chennai healthcare market, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, Dr Azad Moopen said, “Looking at the demand supply gap, there is a requirement for more hospitals in India in general and in Chennai in particular. With our presence in Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra and Maharashtra, we believe that our presence in Tamil Nadu would benefit patients in the country. We hope to provide advanced tertiary and quaternary medical care of the highest quality at affordable cost to the population of Tamil Nadu. We also see India as a key market for Aster DM Healthcare in future.”
