Oberoi Mall in collaboration with Elephant Parade India, the country’s biggest ever public art event by London based NGO – Elephant Family, plays host to eight elephants by leading designers like Sussanne Khan, Amrapali and Pranab Das to name a few for the Elephant Parade. Supporting the cause, ‘Save the Haathi’, the elephants will be on display at Oberoi Mall till March 18, 2018.
The main objective of this event is to raise awareness about the plight of India’s Heritage Animal, the Haathi and to raise funds to build and secure 101 crucial Indian elephant corridors, the pathways that elephants depend upon to get from one forest feeding ground to the next.
Around 90% of Asia’s elephants have disappeared in the last 100 years – their forest homes are disappearing and both elephants and humans are in increasing danger and Elephant Parade India will shine a spotlight on this important cause at the same time help create awareness and raise funds in a charming and creative way.
