Marks & Spencer held an exclusive fashion show on Thursday, 8th February 2018 showcasing their Spring Summer 2018 collection at the Four Seasons Hotel, Worli.
The collection was launched by Belinda Earl O.B.E, interim Womenswear and Global Style Director for Marks & Spencer. Bollywood actors Esha Gupta and Ali Fazal led the ramp along with the talented celebrity stylists, Aastha Sharma and Pratinav Pratap Singh alongside popular bloggers Santoshi Shetty & Sarang Patil.
Socialites and style icons Pooja Bedi, Nisha Jamwal, Upen Patel, Nishka Lulla, Sapna Pabbi, Urmee Mehta Mankar, Director Ogaan Cancer Foundation, Sandeep Gonsalves, Co-Founder SS HOMME, Namrata Purohit, Celebrity Pilates Instructor and Prameet Kotak, Holistic Wellness Consultant were spotted at the event understanding the inspiration, trends and key fashion pieces for the season from Belinda Earl. Speaking about the collection, Earl who is hailed as the UK Queen of Retail said “I’m thrilled to be here in India to launch the new Spring Summer 18 collection. The collection is the epitome of contemporary British fashion and style, full of colourful pieces with strong attention to detail that we know our Indian customers love. For womenswear, we’re showcasing four key trends with a distinctive colour palette that offer feminine style and confident summer dressing. Whilst in menswear we see expert tailoring mixed with fashionable separates.”
The event showcased a selection of key pieces from the Spring Summer 18 collection. The actors, Esha Gupta was seen sporting a colourful floral print shirt matched with statement trousers and heels and Ali Fazal looked dapper in a tailored fit navy blue blazer with a multi-colored t-shirt from the collection. Celebrity stylist Aastha Sharma & Pratinav Pratap Singh took power dressing up a notch with their monotone separates. The blogger duo Santoshi Shetty & Sarang Patil were dressed in M&S casual wear in a white blazer with shorts and a check shirt with printed shorts from the new Spring Summer collection respectively.
For this new collection Marks & Spencer approached the season with a considered approach to colour, print and fabric to define the Spring Summer 18 trend direction for both men and women. With Spring collections launching in stores next week these fashionable edits offer contemporary British fashion and style with an impeccable cut and fit, high attention to detail and lots of colour.
Commenting on the new collection, actor Esha Gupta said, “I am such a huge Marks & Spencer fan, I love the new Spring Summer collection. There are so many beautiful pieces to choose from but my favourite has to be the floral and botanical inspired dresses and tops. I’ve also got my eye on some of the red and blue pinstripe shirts.”
Adding to the conversation Ali Fazal said, “Marks & Spencer is a loved iconic brand in India, I especially love their stylish wardrobe staples.
