The Cake Mixing ceremony is a centuries old tradition from Europe that marks the arrival of the harvest season.  With cake mixing coming in with the harbinger of good fortune and happiness, Oberoi Mall welcomed the Christmas festivities. A bunch of food enthusiasts along with Chef Antonello Cancedda, Chef Rahul Dhavale, & Chef Vikas Gautam from The Westin Mumbai Garden Citygathered at Oberoi Mall Atrium for THE CAKE MIXING CEREMONY. The batter, weighing a total of 100kgs including Raisins, Black currants, Dates, Cashews, Almonds, Pistachios etc. were mixed with dark rum.

While Chef Rahul Dhavale is the Executive Chef at The Westin Mumbai Garden City. With his illustrious 15 yearlong culinary career, Chef Rahul’s association with the hotel started in June 2012 as an Executive Sous Chef. Chef Antonello is heading the culinary team of Prego as Chef de cuisine, Antonello brings with him over two decades of experience in authentic Italian fare. Hailing from the renowned city of Genoa, the historical port city of Northern Italy, steeped in culture and famed for delicious Italian cuisine, Antonello has over the years spent time heading Italian restaurants in leading hotel chains in India. Chef Vikas is a seasoned hotelier with an extensive of rich and diverse experience culinary.
