Popular TV actor Mahesh Thakur kown for his roles in Sasural Genda Phool and Tu Tu Mai Mai is all set to play a negative role for the first time in his career so far. The actor will be seen playing the role of Tej Singh Oberoi, the ruthless head honcho of the Oberoi Empire in STAR Plus’ upcoming show, Ishqbaaaz.
Keeping in mind the characterization of Tej, the actor’s look on the show includes wearing suits and blazers from high profile brands. Taking matter into his own hands for the same, on one of his recent trips to Dubai, Thakur spent close to three days shopping for his own wardrobe for the show.
The actor shared, “The makers had shared with me the kind of look they were looking at for Tej. He being the head honcho of the Oberoi Empire, he is someone who is extremely particular about everything he does with regards to his image and stature in the society. When I was in Dubai and shopping, I spent close to 3 days in buying blazers and suits that I would want to wear on the show as Tej. Call it styling myself or whatever; I am quite happy with my wardrobe for Ishqbaaaz.â€
