As a major achievement for India and for FIITJEE, Uma T.V.Iyer, a student of FIITJEE’s Long term Classroom program, has bagged a Bronze Medal at theEuropean Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO) 2016, held at Busteni, Romania.
The European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad is an International Mathematics competition similar in style to the International Mathematical Olympiad, with two papers taken on consecutive days. Participating countries send teams consisting of four female mathematicians of school age.The European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad was held from 10th to 16th April, 2016 in Busteni, Romania.
Uma T.V. Iyer is a Four-Year Classroom Program student of FIITJEE Coimbatore Centre and currently a student of class XII. She is also a Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) scholar, 2015 and has qualified in the National Talent Search Standard Examination (NTSE), Stage I.
Haimoshri Das, who belongs to FIITJEE Kolkata Centre, also represented India at EGMO 2016. FIITJEE is very happy that both students participating at this prestigious Olympiad at an International level, are from their institute and have contributed in bringing laurels to our country.
