Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company, today\u00a0announced that, Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI) has been bestowed with Global HR Skill Development Award 2018<\/strong>\u00a0at the 8th World Petrocoal Congress, held in New Delhi. The\u00a0institute was awarded under \u2018Gold\u2019 category for outstanding achievement in adopting innovative\u00a0strategies for Human Resource Management and Skill Development towards excellence. The\u00a0event was supported by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Ministry of Coal and Ministry of\u00a0Power.<\/p>\n

\"TataTPSDI has set up five training hubs in five locations in the country leveraging the facilities of Tata\u00a0Power which includes Shahad \u2013 Mumbai, Maharashtra; Trombay \u2013 Mumbai, Maharashtra;\u00a0Maithon \u2013 Dhanbad, Jharkhand, Mundra \u2013 Kutch, Gujarat and Jojobera \u2013 Jamshedpur,\u00a0Jharkhand. In FY 18, 13,527 persons were trained under various skill development programmes\u00a0and 54% per cent of eligible people have received placements post the training. TPSDI has\u00a0impacted over 27,000 people since its inception in February 2015.<\/p>\n
