The App launch was a grand affair that was personally curated and\u00c2\u00a0organized\u00c2\u00a0by Sonam herself,\u00c2\u00a0from 3 tier cupcake tiers by Pooja Dhingra’s Le 15\u00c2\u00a0Patisserie to quirky decor elements like a vertical faux garden with a pastel pink\u00c2\u00a0bicycle and a High Tea menu executed to perfection, the afternoon was one of excitement with attention given to minute details. From serving chai in cute cutting chai glasses to macaroon towers that transported one to the cafe’s in Paris and tea and scones served with fresh jams, the launch of the Sonam Kapoor App was one extraordinary affair and rightfully so, as it marks the debut of the very first Indian actor to launch their own App!<\/p>\n

Developed by Disciple Media, this mobile channel will create deeper connections with her fans through the use of their proprietary mobile App platform. Functions in the App include \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcin the moment\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 fan experiences like real-time live streaming, exclusive content, talent-fan chats, competitions, App-only merchandise, messaging, and social media aggregation.<\/p>\n

The event commenced with the man who was behind the idea, Sonam Kapoor’s friend, Varun Talreja who took the media through a step by step procedure of the App and even got everyone to download the same while be explained each feature! Varun stated that,” Now be it Mumbai, Cannes or London, Sonam will always be directly in touch with her fans through the App and that is the beauty of the same!”<\/p>\n

Speaking at the event Sonam said that, \u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I am really happy and grateful that my good friend Varun Talreja and CEO of Disciple Media, Benji have made this app come alive. This was Varun’s idea as he felt I was relevant on Social Media, one of the most powerful platforms as of now. One of the most enjoyable things about what I do is getting out there, meeting people and hearing reactions to my work. My App means I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll now be able to keep in touch and share experiences with fans worldwide, even when I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m busy filming. There are so many amazing features that we have created to the App like the Live Streaming as it will enable my ‘tribe’ to view what I do exactly when I do so. The Style file feature is another favorite where my team that has been with me since Day one like my sister Rhea Kapoor, and Namrata Soni, Arti Nayar and many more will give style\/beauty tips, work out and make up and hair tutorials and much more! I do not believe in the term ‘fan following’ as I feel that fans are like minded people who are attracted to the celebrities or stars as based on their views, personal\u00c2\u00a0preferences\u00c2\u00a0and are more of a\u00c2\u00a0community who and therefore, people who like me and the work I do are in ‘my tribe.’ They can all connect with each other, even individually through the App. I will constantly speak about Book Reviews as I love reading or even my favorite movies and the App will\u00c2\u00a0constantly be updated which is the best part about the world of social media, there is always more to learn and adapt to. There will also be an archive of my work aptly called ‘Chronicles.’ In addition to this all, we will also have a section dedicated to the ‘Workahol’ in me which will highlight all the things I do be it transformation for my\u00c2\u00a0character, training for my next movie, making of the same, and so on.’ When asked on what her most favorite feature is, Sonam stated that, ‘That has to be the Live Stream feature as I view my tribe as my community and everyone who has the app will get an alert that I will be Live Streaming and it will basically be raw unadulterated footage without any edits which is never seen on the social media platform ever!”<\/p>\n
