The integrity and responsiveness of the Indian state to the multiple challenges facing the country, both internal and external, will fundamentally determine India&#8217;s future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-4342\" src=\"http:\/\/www.YourChennai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Oxford-Universiy-Press-Logo.jpg\" alt=\"Oxford Universiy Press - Logo\" width=\"288\" height=\"107\" \/>The co-panelists for this discussion included <strong>Montek Singh Ahluwalia, <\/strong>Indian economist; <strong><u>S<\/u>hailaja Chandra, <\/strong>Former Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Delhi&#8217;s only woman Chief Secretary; <strong>Ramachandra Guha, <\/strong>Indian historian and writer; <strong>Jay Panda, <\/strong>Indian politician, currently serving as a Member of the Lok Sabha; and <strong>Yogendra Yadav, <\/strong>Indian politician, psephologist and academic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00e2\u20ac\u2122This volume is a unique and illuminating study of India&#8217;s public institutions. No other book gets to the bottom of India&#8217;s governance deficits with the same combination of rigor and insight.
