Yahoo has announced two unique updates to Yahoo Mail app. The new features help users to identify the caller from their email contact list and also access their phone camera roll on their desktop. With this users will never have to guess who\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s calling or email themselves a photo again.<\/p>\n

Whose phone number is this? Never ask again.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"YahooOur new Caller ID feature will show you who\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s calling, even if the number isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t saved in your phone. How? Simple. Yahoo Mail uses contact information from your emails. If you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re like most of our users, you have at least 200 phone numbers sitting in your email. Now, your contact\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s name will surface with the call; and Yahoo Mail will update names in your call history or when you dial. Mystery solved.<\/p>\n

To enable this feature on your iPhone (iOS 10 and above), simply go to Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification, toggle the switch for Yahoo Mail, and voil\u00c3\u00a0!<\/p>\n

Access your mobile photos instantly on your desktop.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the new photo upload feature, we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re bridging the gap between your phone and desktop to make photo sharing seamless. Once the feature is enabled, your recent camera roll photos will be instantly available when accessing your Yahoo Mail account on desktop. You\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll also be able to search your mobile photos easily in the sidebar thanks to Yahoo\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s image recognition technology. For example: searching for “beach”, “ocean”, or “snow” will pull up relevant photos from your recent trips.<\/p>\n

To enable this feature user\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s need to open the Yahoo Mail app on iOS or Android, go to Settings > Photo upload, and tap the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Upload photos\u00e2\u20ac\u009d toggle.<\/p>\n

These photos are only visible to you and the people you decide to send them to. Additionally, you can remove any photo directly from Yahoo Mail without affecting your camera roll.<\/p>\n
