The summit was inaugurated by Dr. Gulshan Rai, National Cyber Security Coordinator, Government of India. AISS is India\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s largest annual gathering of the senior information security leaders and decision makers from the government, law enforcement, technology industry, Banking, Telecom, Healthcare, Oil &amp; Gas Enterprises amongst others, from India and abroad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4702\" src=\"http:\/\/www.YourChennai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/DSCI-Logo.jpg\" alt=\"DSCI - Logo\" width=\"154\" height=\"54\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yourchennai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/DSCI-Logo.jpg 154w, https:\/\/yourchennai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/DSCI-Logo-150x54.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 154px) 100vw, 154px\" \/>This year over 800 delegates and 152 eminent speakers representing diverse perspectives immersed themselves into intense deliberations, debates, interactions on policy and business critical issues, gaining in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience from the government, business, security and privacy leaders. Key themes on the agenda included \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcSecuring Digitization Drive\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcSecurity Data Science\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcFuture of Cyber Crime\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcBuilding Cyber Security Industry\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcBig Hacks, causing kinetic impact\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcSecuring public infrastructure- SCADA, ISC, IoT\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcCyber Warfare-Policy Intervention &amp; Capabilities\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcEngineering Privacy in Data Centric Business Designs\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 and more were deliberated during the three-day conference.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Dr. Gulshan Rai, National Cyber Security Coordinator, Government of India<\/strong> at the inaugural address highlighted significance of cybersecurity in the national context.\u00c2\u00a0 He asserted the need for Cybersecurity to be considered as part of national infrastructure and said \u00e2\u20ac\u0153i<em>ncreasingly, we are moving towards a situation where internet will be the de facto national infrastructure and the vital component of social development<\/em>.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Underscoring the recent threats including Ransomware, Denial of Service, Malware and Cyber espionage among others, he urged the industry to be prepared for future and the policy makers to factor in that kind of shift.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Rama Vedashree, CEO, DSCI<\/strong> said, <em>AISS has become the definitive annual cyber security summit for Security Leaders to apprise themselves of the latest policies, strategies, trends and tools to better handle the ever-changing threat landscape<\/em>. <em>This year was a special milestone in its journey and significantly broadened the agenda with a wide variety of themes and stakeholder participation\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Key highlights of this year were the launch of NASSCOM-DSCI Report \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcGrowing Cyber Security Industry-Roadmap for India\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 that endeavors to delineate how India can chart its growth, as a Global Hub for Cyber Security as per the recommendations of the Cyber Security Task Force (CSTF).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">DSCI Excellence Awards 2016 winners under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dsci.in\/taxonomypage\/1411\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/www.dsci.in\/taxonomypage\/1411&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1482985733789000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEXsDv384ZhIqtRgaxhUT9vIA2gXw\">Corporate<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dsci.in\/taxonomypage\/1418\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/www.dsci.in\/taxonomypage\/1418&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1482985733789000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHoT4_e7_va4vnypbEgQO98vjON6g\">Product<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dsci.in\/taxonomypage\/1417\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/www.dsci.in\/taxonomypage\/1417&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1482985733789000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGlUvchl0vsUUIaKgygwV14NF8-EQ\">Law Enforcement<\/a> Segment were recognized for best practices adopted by the industry, exemplary work carried out in the field of security and privacy. In the second year DSCI along with NASSCOM Gaming Forum and KPMG hosted the Cyber Game Zone &amp; \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcSEGAMATHON \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Security Game Hackathon\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 giving an opportunity to game developers across India to showcase games on the theme of cyber security. DSCI also hosted DSCI \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcInnovation Box\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 for identifying the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcMost Innovative Security Product of the Year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122. Apart from this, Simulations, Demo Theatre, Community Meetups, Forum Meets, Plenary tracks formed the special attractions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">DSCI in association with Lockheed Martin also launched the learning management portal during the conference. The LMS portal <a href=\"http:\/\/cyberaware.in\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/cyberaware.in&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1482985733789000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGDmT-Ro3YfhhcMDIBRuvkJLhCxsw\">cyberaware.in<\/a> offers online learning on Cyber Security for SMBs and ITIs and contributes significantly to capacity building efforts. In association with SSC NASSCOM, DSCI also launched Cyber Security Career Map, Qualification Packs and Courseware. The program was embarked by SSC NASSCOM and DSCI to bridge the skills gap in the realm of cyber security. \u00c2\u00a0On the sidelines of the Summit, KPMG also launched Privacy Assessment mobile Application \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcCyber KARE\u00e2\u20ac\u2122. The Privacy Assessment is based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dsci.in\/dsci-privacy-framework-0\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/www.dsci.in\/dsci-privacy-framework-0&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1482985733789000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGadA5M8ebkR8ARAxMPOteYGKimtQ\">DSCI Privacy Framework.<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The AISS platform was a host to some of the leading Cyber Security product and service providers including Microsoft, Qualcomm, Huawei and Palo Alto Networks, Cyberinc, RSA, ThreatMetrix\u00c2\u00ae and Entrust Datacard. KPMG, Intel Security, TCG Digital, Ixia, Quick Heal Academy, 3M, GlobalSign, SANS and Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), the apex body for PSUs had partnered with DSCI.
