Famous for his charm and charisma Sami Khan\u00a0has been\u00a0winning many hearts in India with his portrayal of Haim in the\u00a0twisted love story\u00a0“Ishqaway”\u00a0that airs\u00a0every\u00a0Monday\u00a0to\u00a0Saturday\u00a0at\u00a08:50\u00a0PM\u00a0only on Zindagi.\u00a0The\u00a0actor who\u00a0is known to be the\u00a0“Johnny Depp of Pakistani television”\u00a0for his\u00a0constant\u00a0experiments with looks, says that he is often\u00a0inspired by\u00a0many\u00a0of his Bollywood and Hollywood counterparts like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Kiefer Sutherland, Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman.<\/p>\n

Sami claims to be a huge fan of Bollywood”s heart-throb Shah Rukh Khan, he says, “I must admit that Shah Rukh Khan’s energy is limitless, and that’s why I am a die-hard fan of SRK.”\u00a0He says he also likes\u00a0Aamir Khan\u00a0for his diversity and\u00a0loves\u00a0how he keeps reinventing himself.<\/p>\n

Talking about his inspiration from Hollywood, Sami says, “I take my inspiration wherever I find it. I am very impressed with Kiefer Sutherland’s\u00a0command and control over his voice and\u00a0I love the intensity and dedication of Christian\u00a0Bale and the maturity of Hugh Jackman.\u00a0I tried to follow Christian Bale by gaining weight for my movie “Love, Life and Lahore”.”<\/p>\n

Sami is so inspired by some Hollywood actors that he would love to do something that would require fluctuating weight and playing with his appearance. In fact, his dedication towards his work can be seen in his current show “Ishqaway” where he has experimented with his look by growing beard to make the character more convincing.<\/p>\n

“Ishqaway” is a twisted story of love, envy, friendship and family pressure. The show revolves around three main characters, Haim (Sami Khan), Safina (Rabab Hashim) and Amal (Zainab Ahmed). At the behest of his grandfather, Haim is betrothed into marriage with his paternal cousin, Amal, to strengthen family bonds. However, fate had something else in store for Haim who falls in love with Safina, Amal”s close friend, during his wedding festivities. The story will indeed put true love to test as Haim is torn between his love and his grandfather”s wishes. Now with Amal creating problems between Safina and Haim, will Amal succeed in her plans to get Safina out of Haim”s life?<\/p>\n
