Using\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Pearson\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>VUE\u2019s\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>OnVUE\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>online\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>proctored\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>testing\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>software,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>PMP\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>candidates can\u00a0now\u00a0take\u00a0their exam\u00a0online at their convenience<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Starting today,\u00a0Project Management Institute (PMI)\u00a0is now offering\u00a0project professionals\u00a0the ability\u00a0to\u00a0schedule and take their Project Management Professional (PMP)\u00ae\u00a0exam online\u00a0from\u00a0their home or\u00a0office.\u00a0The\u00a0PMP\u00a0exam\u00a0now\u00a0joins two other\u00a0PMI\u00a0certification\u00a0exams\u00a0professionals\u00a0can take online:\u00a0the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification exams.<\/p>\n

Candidates will take the exam online using Pearson VUE\u2019s\u00a0OnVUE\u00a0online proctored testing software.\u00a0Like\u00a0center-based testing, online proctored testing requires candidates to be monitored by a proctor.\u00a0However, the proctor will be offsite and will monitor\u00a0candidates\u00a0live\u00a0through their device\u2019s microphone and webcam\u00a0with the assistance of Artificial Intelligence (AI).\u00a0Candidates will still need to schedule their online exam ahead of time, but appointments are offered 24\/7 so candidates can find a time convenient for their schedule.<\/p>\n

We are now providing online proctored testing that will allow candidates to take their PMP exam from home under specific conditions, and also have flexibility of scheduling it at their convenience. This effort, which will have a\u00a0long-lasting\u00a0positive\u00a0impact on the PMI testing experience,\u00a0would not have been possible without Pearson VUE\u2019s expertise and partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to the AI-assisted,\u00a0live remote proctoring, which includes the\u00a0proctor\u2019s\u00a0ability to immediately end a session if misconduct is detected, PMI and Pearson VUE\u00a0have\u00a0implemented\u00a0a\u00a0rigorous data forensics program to identify and\u00a0act\u00a0on misconduct and other validity issues. Additionally, all candidates must complete a virtual self-check-in process, which includes\u00a0AI-enhanced identification authentication and face-to-photo matching.<\/p>\n
