The management has donated a sum of <strong>Rs 50 lakhs each to the CM relief Fund<\/strong> for <strong>Telangana <\/strong>and <strong>Andhra Pradesh<\/strong> and a sum of <strong>Rs.25 lakhs<\/strong> each to the CM Relief fund for <strong>Karnataka, Odisha and Tamil Nadu<\/strong> to support the relief and safety measures being undertaken by the state Governments in view of COVID 19 pandemic. Earlier Freedom Oil had contributed <strong>Rs. 50 Lakhs<\/strong> to the <strong>PM Cares<\/strong> fund and distributed the essential commodity \u2013 edible oil worth Rs. 25 Lakhs to the underprivileged near GEF refineries in Andhra Pradesh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a part of the CSR Initiative: &#8211; <strong>Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils<\/strong> Contribute a total of <strong>Rs. 2.5 Crore<\/strong> towards COVID 19 relief for communities where they operate:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>PM CARES Fund: Rs. 50 Lakhs<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">CM Relief Fund (Telangana): Rs. 50 Lakhs<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>CM Relief Fund (AP): Rs. 50 Lakhs<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>CM Relief Fund (Karnataka): Rs. 25 Lakhs<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>CM Relief Fund (Odisha): Rs. 25 Lakhs<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>CM Relief Fund (Tamil Nadu): Rs. 25 Lakhs<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They have also partnered with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to distribute the essential commodity &#8211;\u00a0<strong>edible oil worth Rs. 25 Lakhs<\/strong> to the underprivileged near the GEF refineries in AP.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12377\" src=\"https:\/\/yourchennai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Freedom-Oil-Edible-Oil.jpg\" alt=\"Freedom Oil - Edible Oil\" width=\"727\" height=\"364\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yourchennai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Freedom-Oil-Edible-Oil.jpg 727w, https:\/\/yourchennai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Freedom-Oil-Edible-Oil-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 727px) 100vw, 727px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking about the initiative, <strong>Mr. Pradeep Chowdhry, Managing Director, Gemini Edibles &amp; Fats India Pvt. Ltd.<\/strong>, said, \u201cGEF India is humbled to contribute in this time of India\u2019s fight against COVID 19.\u00a0\u00a0 We are confident that our contribution will have a positive impact on the communities that have been hit hardest by this unprecedented crisis. We appreciate the efforts being taken by the Central Government, the State Governments, district administrations, doctors and police in dealing with this crisis, while ensuring supply of essential commodities to the citizens. As a part of our efforts to support the communities where we operate, we have extended a contribution of <strong>Rs. 50 Lakhs each<\/strong>towards the<strong> CM relief fund <\/strong>in <strong>Telangana &amp; Andhra Pradesh<\/strong> along with a contribution of <strong>Rs.25 Lakhs each<\/strong> towards the states of <strong>Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Odisha plus 50 lakhs to PM Cares fund.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Employees for GEF India have come forward and contributed 1-day salary towards the COVID 19 relief fund. GEF India will be forwarding the additional amount of <strong>Rs 9.25 Lakhs<\/strong> by <strong>640 employees<\/strong> towards the PM<strong> CARES<\/strong> fund for COVID 19 on behalf of their employees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>GEF has implemented strict measures to ensure all their members, employees, partners, stakeholders remain safe from COVID-19.\u00a0 The management has undertaken an extensive drive to educate their employees on the seriousness of Coronavirus, identifying infections, and measures to safeguard them from being infected.\u00a0 GEF India is committed to fulfil its social responsibility to facilitate uninterrupted movement of Edible Oils as it\u2019s an essential commodity amidst the lockdown.
