Dr. V. Mohan, Chairman of Dr. Mohan\u2019s Diabetes Specialties Centre and President of Madras Diabetes Research Foundation And Dr. R. M. Anjana, Managing Director of Dr. Mohan\u2019s Diabetes Specialties Centre and Vice-President of Madras Diabetes Research Foundation<\/strong> was recently conferred with \u201cLifetime Achievement Award\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cYoung Innovators Award\u201d<\/strong> respectively by the Indian Academy of Diabetes at their Annual conference held at Mumbai. The award was presented by Proff Robert Eckel, President of the American diabetes Association<\/strong> to Dr. Mohan.<\/p>\n

\nThe Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to recognize Dr. Mohan\u2019s outstanding service to the cause of diabetes in India and his pioneering work in the field of Diabetology. Dr. Mohan has contributed over 1250 research papers in prestigious journals and text books of diabetes which is considered a world record by practicing doctor. The award was presented to Dr. Anjana for her outstanding work in the field of diabetes. Dr. Anjana has published over 200 research papers and has innovated a new dance form called \u201cTHANDAV\u201d for increasing physical activity especially among adolescent girls in India.<\/p>\n
